Riccarda Flemmer is a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the chair of Political Science, especially Global Governance, at the University of Hamburg, Germany. She holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of Hamburg. Riccarda has an interdisciplinary background in political science, sociology and psychology. Her research focuses on participatory conflict transformation, contested legal norms, human rights and socio-ecological conflicts with a geographical focus on Amazonia, especially Peru. Since June 2020, Riccarda has been co-chair of the Latin American Studies Association’s Amazonia section.
