FU Berlin Sustainability Report

The Freie Universität Berlin has just published the "Sustainability Report 2020" (in German: "Nachhaltigkeitsbericht 2020"). It is the second report of this kind that reports on the activities and progress in terms of sustainability and climate protection at the FU Berlin. The publication examines activities in the fields of governance, teaching and research, campus, dialogue and networks, in particular for the years 2018 and 2019. The report also outlines the future priorities of the university in the area of sustainability.
Externally funded research projects and sustainable development issues: trAndeS and the sustainability strategy of the FU Berlin
Compared to 2017, the FU Berlin had sixteen percent more externally funded research projects in 2019. 665 (37 percent) of the total 1796 projects dealt with sustainable development issues, which corresponds to a much higher proportion than in 2017 (30 percent). trAndeS – Program on Sustainable Development and Social Inequalities in the Andean Region is presented as an example of these projects that deal with sustainability issues by combining research, teaching and internationalization.
